About

The multidisciplinary program aims at offering a wider and more variegated range of studies than the standard format based on two departments. Students are free to select courses according to their own fields of interest. They are given the opportunity to broaden their intellectual horizons by experiencing a variety of academic disciplines, methodologies, and subjects. The Program is unique since it enables students to create a unique curriculum and obtain a competitive academic degree for the labor market. We offer our students individual counseling services to customize their study program.

The Faculty of Humanities at the Hebrew University is world renowned and offers a vast assortment of courses at the highest standard. The Program's Students benefit from their exclusive right to study all of their preferred subjects, without having to limiting themselves to only one certain department. We believe that by taking the Program, students will become acquainted with the many astonishing aspects of the human spirit in various world cultures throughout history.

The multidisciplinary program is a two-disciplinary track program opened to all students of the Hebrew University except the following departments: Financial Accounting, the Integrative Interdepartmental Program: Philosophy, Economics and Political Science, the Jewish Studies Program, Amirim Program, Revivim Program, the joint program with the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance .

Why Study It?

The Multidisciplinary Program allows its students to experience a wide range of disciplines before deciding in which field they would like to specialize. Students in the program are exposed to varied fields of knowledge and acquire intellectual tools, which enable them to feel at home in more than one field. Aquaintance with several disciplines is essential to creating connections and implications from one field to the other and to becoming well-trained and broad-minded intellectuals. The Program’s graduates can be employed in positions that require critical thinking and implementation of wide knowledge. Academic degrees from the Hebrew University are recognized worldwide, which enables the program’s graduates to continue to graduate studies in many departments and universities in Israel and beyond.
